Whether it`s in my favourite birthday cake, on my breakfast toast or in my moisturiser.
It started last year that my skin went totally crazy and started to break out - every day I saw a new spot in the mirror. What a nightmare I thought. Sure, I heard about adult acne, but it was`t really acne. It took me some time to understand that the appearance of my skin was directly linked to the lifestyle I led and therefore the food I ate. You are what you eat. Point.
Changing my diet mostly to low-carb, vegetarian and vegan I noticed how my skin started to recover, day by day. I was kind of scared to moisturise my face with a cream cause I thought I would be thrown back until I heard about the raw & organic Bee Yummy Skin Food Cream. A cream that is supposed to heal any possible skin ailment. Cara Delevingne and the Jagger sisters are huge fans of this already. Live Live is the company that produces this cream. Located in NYC, this retail store offers not only high quality products, from creams to kale crackers, but also nutritional consultations as well as detoxification programs. Sounds interesting I thought, why not give the cream a try?
The ingredients are unfiltered Wildflower Honey, Honey Cappings, Bee Pollen, Propolis, St. John’s Wort Oil, Royal Jelly, Purified Water and Balsam Fir needles, giving this cream a nice woody smell while providing Vitamin C, which is needed for collagen production.
Propolis, a natural compound made from the sap on Poplar and Fir trees, is famous for fighting infection and treat skin injuries. The interesting fact is that all of the ingredients used in this cream, have been actually harvested in a wild area with its own climate. Since honey, propolis and Balsam Fir are nature's antibiotics, this cream goes without any preservatives! The manufacturer even promises to give you your money back, in case your cream does go bad. I have had this cream for now probably 2 months and a little goes a long way. You don`t really need much so it`s worth the price. One little jar of 2oz, which is now on sale, usually costs $47. Here in Germany it is even a little bit more. I found my cream on amazingy.com and paid 49,90 Euros for 59 ml. I know it is a lot of money. I thought the same until I have actually tried it. Since then I have been using it every morning. This cream is instantly absorbed by my skin, leaving no greasy residue. The best thing about this cream, is that it` s an all rounder. Thus it can be used for cosmetic purposes, like treating pimple, sunburns, stretchmarks and bruises all over your body AND for therapeutic like psoriasis, rosatia, eczema and open wounds. Its healing properties are seriously incredible. I even put it on my skin when I was stung by a wasp and it helped! To sum up I would say it`s definitely a keeper! Although not vegan I still feel good about the company values. My spots were fading leaving my skin moisturised and not dried out ( which is often the case when you try to get rid of your zits with drying creams whatsoever).
If you have tried this cream, what do you think about it and do you have any alternatives that work well?
